Société immobilière Dupont has owned and operated commercial and residential buildings in the Quebec City area for more than 50 years. Founded in 1969 by Jean-Yves Dupont, the company got its start in the residential sector with construction of the well-regarded Le Grand Versaille and acquisition of the distinguished Immeubles des Seigneurs buildings in Sainte-Foy.
In 1974 Jean-Yves set his sights on expanding into the commercial sector. He began to build and acquire office, commercial, and industrial buildings, diversifying the company’s offerings. His vision was clear: to build a large portfolio of rental properties providing residential and commercial space in 3 of Quebec City’s prime locations—Boulevard Laurier in Sainte-Foy (near the bridges), Lebourgneuf (the Bouvier sector), and downtown Quebec City (Upper Town).
